Notepik vs Avoma

An Avoma alternative for teams that need meeting notes, not a revenue platform

Avoma calls itself an all-in-one meeting assistant, conversation intelligence and revenue intelligence platform, and it shows: call scoring, coaching, forecasting, scheduling. If you run a sales organisation on that stack, it is a serious tool. If what you need is every meeting written up with decisions and owners, for a team that is not all in sales, it is more than you will use. Notepik does the second job, and only that job.

  • You need two-way Salesforce or HubSpot field updates, or dialer integrations such as Aircall, Dialpad or Outreach
  • You want scheduling pages and lead routing in the same tool as your notes
  • You need SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 42001 on paper, or HIPAA and SSO on an Enterprise plan

Why teams pick Notepik over Avoma

01

A meeting tool, not a sales stack

The difference is scope. Avoma's own site lists scheduling pages, lead routing, call scoring, coaching, deal risk and forecasting next to the notes. For a sales organisation, that is the point. For everyone else in the company, it is a lot of product to pay for around a feature they wanted for free.

Notepik stays on the meeting. It joins the call, or records the tab, and writes up the decisions and action items. Ten ready-made templates, among them one-to-ones, project kickoffs, retrospectives, hiring interviews and sales calls, make each type of meeting read the way its owners expect, and you can write your own.

02

No seat-by-seat add-ons

Avoma bills per recorder seat and sells Conversation Intelligence, Revenue Intelligence and Lead Router as add-ons, also per seat, which can be assigned to individual people. That flexibility is useful inside a sales team. For a mixed team it means working out a different total for every person.

Notepik is one price per workspace. Every paid plan includes every feature: Ask, follow-up drafts, the integrations, the API, insights and templates. The plans differ in hours and seats, never in what you are allowed to use. See the current plans on our pricing page.

03

A free plan you can actually record on

Avoma offers a 14-day trial of its Organization plan with no card, and when it ends the account becomes a viewer until you upgrade. That is a fair trial. It is also a deadline.

Notepik's free plan has no time limit and needs no card. Its monthly allowance is small, so it is not a place to run a company, but it is enough to find out whether the write-ups suit your team before anyone signs anything.

04

Decisions, owners, and a memory for recurring meetings

Every Notepik write-up lists the decisions that were made and the action items with a suggested owner and due date, which you can assign, tick off or push to Slack, Asana, Trello, ClickUp or HubSpot. For a recurring meeting, Notepik shows what the last one left open and emails that brief before the next call, only when there is something open.

Avoma drafts follow-up emails and enters notes into your CRM automatically. Notepik writes follow-up email drafts from the summary and never sends them for you, and by default its HubSpot sync logs meetings and tasks only against contacts you already have in HubSpot.

05

A visible bot, a consent page, and your language

The Notepik bot is always in the participant list under a name you choose. The Chrome extension, which records a tab with no bot, makes you confirm you will tell the other people first, and the consent page explains when and how. The interface is available in English, French and Arabic, with the Arabic layout mirrored.

Where Avoma is the better choice

Going by what Avoma's own site says, here is where it is ahead.

Sales intelligence

Call scoring, AI coaching, a live answer assistant, smart trackers, deal and churn risk alerts, MEDDIC and BANT scoring, forecasting and win-loss analysis are all on Avoma's list. Notepik has none of them. Its insights stop at talk time, questions and one tone reading per meeting.

CRM depth and dialers

Avoma supports Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Copper, Zendesk Sell and Zoho, with two-way field updates on its Revenue Intelligence add-on, and connects to dialers such as Aircall, Dialpad, RingCentral, Outreach and Salesloft. Notepik syncs to HubSpot only and never touches deals.

Scheduling and lead routing

Avoma includes one-to-one, group and round-robin scheduling pages plus lead routing. Notepik has no scheduler.

Compliance, apps and transcription languages

SOC 2 Type II, ISO/IEC 42001:2023, HIPAA and SSO on Enterprise, mobile apps, and live transcription in 75+ languages. Notepik has no certifications yet, no mobile app and no live captions.

What it costs: flat versus per seat and add-on

Avoma's plans are Startup, Organization and Enterprise, billed per recorder seat, with an annual discount and a minimum of ten seats on Enterprise. Conversation Intelligence, Revenue Intelligence and Lead Router are add-ons priced per seat, and basic CRM note saving is on every plan while two-way field updates need Revenue Intelligence. Viewers and collaborators are free but cannot record. The figures change, so read Avoma's pricing before you decide.

Notepik has a free plan with no card and paid plans priced per workspace, with every feature in every paid plan. The plans below are pulled live from our pricing. Add up Avoma's seats and the add-ons you actually need, and set that against the Notepik plan that fits your hours.

Switching from Avoma

A lot of teams will not switch everything, and that is fine.

  1. 1Decide who actually uses Avoma's sales features. A sales team that lives in scoring and forecasting may want to stay, while the rest of the company moves to Notepik.
  2. 2Create a free Notepik workspace and send the bot to your next call, or record a browser tab with the Chrome extension. The first write-up arrives a few minutes after the call ends.
  3. 3Notepik does not import Avoma's notes. If there are recordings you want in the new library, download them and upload them, audio or video up to 2 GB each.
  4. 4Connect Slack, Asana, Trello, ClickUp or HubSpot, invite the team, and trim your Avoma seats and add-ons when you are ready.

Avoma vs Notepik: questions people ask

Is Notepik a good Avoma alternative?
For teams that want every kind of meeting written up with decisions and owners, at one price for the workspace, yes. It is not a replacement for Avoma's conversation and revenue intelligence. If call scoring, coaching or forecasting is why you bought Avoma, stay.
Is Notepik cheaper than Avoma?
It depends on who needs what. Avoma bills per recorder seat and sells its intelligence features as add-ons per seat, while Notepik is one workspace price with every feature included. For a mixed team where most people only need the notes, a flat price tends to come out lower. For a sales team that needs those add-ons the comparison is not like for like, so add up your own seats and add-ons.
Is Notepik only for sales calls?
No. It writes up any meeting: client calls, project syncs, retrospectives, hiring interviews, leadership meetings and sales calls, with a template for each. It simply has no sales coaching or forecasting.
Does Notepik sync with Salesforce like Avoma?
No. Notepik's CRM sync is HubSpot only. By default it logs a meeting and its open action items as tasks against contacts it already finds in HubSpot, and it never touches deals.
Does Notepik use a bot?
It can. A visible bot joins Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Webex calls. The Chrome extension records a browser tab with no bot in the call instead.
Is Notepik SOC 2 certified?
No. Avoma states SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 42001 on its security page, and Notepik holds neither. Notepik does encrypt data in transit and at rest and isolate each workspace. See the security page for what it does and does not do.
Can I use Notepik for free instead of Avoma's trial?
Yes. The Notepik free plan has no time limit and needs no card, with a small monthly allowance. It is enough to test the write-ups on real calls.

Start on the free plan with no card, send the bot to a real meeting or record a browser tab, and read what comes back a few minutes later. If it is not better for your team, you have lost nothing.
