Notepik vs MeetGeek

A MeetGeek alternative for teams that want the notes, not another platform to run

MeetGeek describes itself as a meeting intelligence platform for mid-market and enterprise teams, with agents, workflows, apps and an enterprise security story. Notepik is smaller on purpose. It joins your calls, or records your browser tab, and hands your team a summary, the decisions and action items with owners, for one flat price per workspace. Here is how the two compare, including the places where MeetGeek is the better pick.

The short version

Choose Notepik if

Stay with MeetGeek if

  • You need SOC 2 Type II today, a HIPAA agreement, or SSO and SCIM to get through a security review
  • You record phone calls and in-person meetings on your phone, or want a desktop app that works offline
  • Your CRM is Salesforce, Pipedrive or Zoho, or you need Notion, Jira, Linear or recruiting tools in the loop
  • You want unlimited transcription on a paid plan, 30+ summary templates, and talk-to-listen and sentiment analytics

Why teams pick Notepik over MeetGeek

01

One price for the whole team

MeetGeek charges per user, and its pricing page even includes a team calculator to add it all up. That is a reasonable way to sell a product when only a few people record. It gets expensive the way every per-seat tool does: the week you add the fifth, sixth and seventh teammate, the bill follows them.

Notepik is priced per workspace. A plan includes a number of seats and a number of meeting hours, and everyone inside shares one library. The sum is easy to do yourself. Take the per-user price on MeetGeek's pricing page, multiply it by the people who need access, and compare the result with the Notepik plan that fits your hours on our pricing page.

02

A write-up that ends in decisions and owners

What Notepik hands you after a call is built around what happens next: a short summary, the decisions that were made, and action items with a suggested owner and a due date. Each action item can be assigned, ticked off, or pushed to Slack, Asana, Trello, ClickUp or HubSpot.

MeetGeek does a lot of this too, and adds agents, workflows and 30+ templates on top. If that breadth is what you are shopping for, it is a real strength. If you want the meeting written up properly and the follow-ups on somebody's list without building anything, a narrower product is quicker to live with.

03

Recurring meetings that remember

Weekly meetings are where things get dropped. When a meeting belongs to a recurring series, Notepik shows what the previous one left open: the action items that are still open today and the decisions already made. About an hour before the next call it emails the calendar's owner that same brief, and it stays silent when there is nothing open.

Follow-up email drafts work the same way. They are written from the summary and the decisions, never from the raw transcript, and Notepik never sends them for you. You read it, change it, and send it from your own mail.

04

Visible by design, with a bot-free option when you need one

The Notepik bot always appears in the participant list under a name you choose, so nobody on the call is surprised. For the calls where a bot would change the mood, the Notepik for Chrome extension records the browser tab instead, with no bot in the call, and it works on every plan including Free.

MeetGeek also offers bot-free capture, through a desktop app and a browser extension, so this is not a trick only we have. The difference is the stance. The extension does not announce itself, so it makes you confirm you will tell the other people before it records, and our consent page explains when and how to do that.

05

In your language, right to left included

The Notepik interface comes in English, French and Arabic, and the Arabic version is properly mirrored rather than squeezed into a left-to-right layout. A meeting is transcribed and written up in whatever language it was held in.

MeetGeek says it detects 100+ languages for transcripts, which is broader than anything we promise. What is different here is the product around the transcript: if your team works in French or Arabic day to day, the app speaks it too.

Where MeetGeek is the better choice

A comparison that only lists the other tool's weak spots is an advert. Here is where MeetGeek is ahead, going by what its own site says.

Security and compliance paperwork

MeetGeek lists SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and CCPA compliance, a HIPAA BAA, penetration tests, and SSO and SCIM on its Enterprise plan. Notepik has none of those certifications yet. If a security questionnaire decides your purchase, that settles it.

Phone calls, in-person meetings and apps

MeetGeek has iOS and Android apps for in-person conversations and phone calls, and a desktop app that works offline. Notepik is a web app plus a Chrome extension, and the extension only records browser tabs.

Breadth of integrations

Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM, Notion, Jira, Linear, Confluence and recruiting tools such as Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby are all on MeetGeek's list. Notepik's CRM sync is HubSpot only, and its task pushes go to Slack, Asana, Trello and ClickUp.

Hours, templates and analytics

Paid MeetGeek plans give you far more room: Pro includes 20 hours a month and Business is unlimited, against a per-workspace hour allowance at Notepik. MeetGeek also offers 30+ summary templates, talk-to-listen ratios and sentiment tracking. Notepik gives you ten ready-made templates plus your own, and keeps its insights to talk time, questions and one tone reading per meeting, never a score for an individual.

What it costs: flat versus per user

MeetGeek's free Basic plan covers 3 hours of transcription a month with 3 months of transcript storage. Pro and Business are priced per user, Business starts with a 14-day trial, and Enterprise is a custom quote. The prices on its page are shown without a currency or a date and they change, so read MeetGeek's pricing yourself before you decide.

Notepik has a free plan with no card and paid plans priced per workspace. The plans below are pulled live from our pricing, so they cannot drift out of date. Pick the one that fits your hours and seats, then set its price against MeetGeek's per-user price multiplied by your team.

Switching from MeetGeek

There is no big migration, which makes the trial cheap.

  1. 1Keep your old meetings where they are. Notepik does not import another tool's notes, so there is nothing to move in one click.
  2. 2Start a free Notepik workspace and send the bot to your next call, or press Record in the Chrome extension. The first write-up arrives a few minutes after the call ends.
  3. 3If there are recordings you want in the new library, download them from MeetGeek and upload them to Notepik. Audio or video up to 2 GB each is accepted.
  4. 4Connect Slack, Asana, Trello, ClickUp or HubSpot, invite your team, and cancel MeetGeek once the new routine has stuck.

MeetGeek vs Notepik: questions people ask

Is Notepik a good MeetGeek alternative?
For small and mid-size teams that want accurate write-ups, decisions with owners and one price for the workspace, yes. For teams that need SOC 2 Type II, a HIPAA agreement, SSO, mobile apps or Salesforce, MeetGeek is the better fit today, and this page says so.
Is Notepik cheaper than MeetGeek?
It depends on how many people need access. MeetGeek prices per user and Notepik prices per workspace, with a set number of seats and hours in each plan. A team of several people who all need the notes usually pays less with a flat workspace plan. A single heavy user should compare hours as well. Do the sum with MeetGeek's pricing page and ours.
Does Notepik need a bot in my meeting?
No. The bot is one option and it is always visible in the participant list. The Chrome extension records a browser tab with no bot in the call, on every plan including Free.
Which meeting platforms does Notepik support?
The bot joins Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Webex. The extension records any call that runs in a Chrome tab. See the pages for Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Webex.
Is Notepik SOC 2 certified?
No. Notepik encrypts data in transit and at rest, isolates each workspace at the database level and never uses recordings to train models, but it does not hold SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification and does not offer a HIPAA agreement. The security page lists what it does and does not do.
Does Notepik work in French and Arabic?
Yes. Meetings are transcribed and written up in the language they were held in, and the Notepik interface is available in English, French and Arabic.
Can I try Notepik before I leave MeetGeek?
Yes. The free plan needs no card, and nothing stops you running both tools on different calls for a few weeks before you decide.

Start on the free plan with no card, send the bot to a real meeting or record a browser tab, and read what comes back a few minutes later. If it is not better for your team, you have lost nothing.
